Erik Rietveld is awarded a VENI grant for innovative research by NWO, 'Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research'. The title of his interdisciplinary research project is 'Unreflective Action in Everyday Life'. Erik was awarded a NWO Rubicon grant earlier to work as a postdoc at Harvard University. His research proposal has three key objectives:

a) develop an innovative philosophy of unreflective action;

b) integrate insights from cognitive (neuro) science and affective science; and

c) apply his research results on unreflective action in collaboration with Rietveld Landscape in order to contribute to the social fabric of everyday life and a well-functioning public domain.
